1911

In April 1911, Picasso first exhibits in the US, in Photo-Secession gallery. He spends the summer in Sere, along with Fernande and Georges Braque, where he meets the composer Deod de Sevrak. In September, he returns to Paris right before the scandal over the stolen Iberian. Guillaume Apollinaire is in prison for a short time. In October, he participates in the Autumn Salon, dedicated to Cubism - the new style of painting that overwhelmed the public. He meets Marcelle Humbert (Eva) and returns to Bateau-Lavoir, where he begins to work towards synthetic cubism.
