March 5, 1944 Max Jacob dies in a Nazi concentration camp. March 19, Picasso with friends participates in the premiere of his own play Desire Caught by the Tail in six acts. In mid-August, during the battles in Paris, he lives with Marie-Th?r?se and Maya on Henry IV boulevard. On August 25, after the liberation of Paris, he returns to his studio on Grands-Augustins Street.
