In February 1950, Picasso creates the paintings "by Gustave Courbet" and "by El Greco." He works with sculpture mostly in Vallauris, often uses various materials and objects. He creates a series of ceramic owls. On June 25th the Korean War begins. On July 9th he creates lithography of the dove, which is being used as the emblem of the Second World Congress. August 6th, opens a monument Man with a Lamb on the main square in Vallauris. In November he gets the International Lenin Prize award.
