In 1957, Picasso meets with the Norwegian sculptor Carl Nesjar. In August, he begins to work on Las Meninas series of Vel?zquez`s , the work lasts until the end of the year; later, in 1968, he will donate 58 paintings from this series to the Picasso Museum in Barcelona. In September at the Villa "California" creates a series of works portraying the dovecote. October 15th receives an order for painting the wall from Colegio Oficial de Arquitectos in Barcelona.

I have a high res version where the 'color' is accurate (not the murky gray-green of yours). I'm never sure if for profit sites like yours just don't get it or just don't care. I'm surprised Picasso's heirs haven't come down on you. I ran a fairly high profile non-profit art history site long ago; they harassed me....Apologies for raining on your parade, but you can and should do better. These ubelievably poor digital images do a disservice both to the art and the artist.'
