Picasso receives honorable mention and a gold medal for the painting Science and Charity, exhibited in Madrid and M?laga. In October, he successfully passes the entrance exam in Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando in Madrid. He often visits the Prado Museum to study the works of Spanish artists of the Golden Age, especially Diego Vel?zquez and El Greco.
