The artist continues to work on the "Owl" theme in paintings and lithographs. March 30, 1947 starts working on lithographs, inspired by the pieces of the German painter Lucas Cranach (1472-1553). In May, he gives his ten important works to the Georges Pompidou Center in Paris. On May 15, Fran?oise gives birth to Claude Picasso. In June, Fran?oise and Claude leave for Golfe-Juan. In summer, he starts working  in Madoura ceramic workshop. In December he is engaged in the design of Tsar Oedipus ballet by Sophocles.
